ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross College is pleased to announce several new promotions and appointments to key leadership positions within the institution.

ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross welcomes back Mike Brach as the new Vice President for Development. Brach, who previously served as Vice President for Advancement at the College from 2015-2017, brings over 30 years of experience in higher education administration and fundraising. His diverse expertise spans various leadership positions at esteemed institutions such as Regis University, the University of Colorado, the University of Notre Dame, and Valparaiso University. His extensive background in fundraising, strategy and planning, information technology, and academic program leadership positions him as a valuable asset in furthering the mission and goals of ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross College.

The College also announces the hiring of Blaise Morris as the new Major Gift Officer. Blaise, a 2023 alumnus of ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross College, recently earned a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in finance from the University of Notre Dame. Since his graduation, Blaise has remained closely connected to ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross, serving in roles within residence life and admissions. His transition to the advancement team underscores his commitment to the college’s mission and his desire to further its impact.

Tom Derwent has been promoted to Director of Financial Aid at ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross College. Derwent, a graduate of Indiana University, brings over a decade of experience in financial advising and administration to his role. His expertise in financial aid management and dedication to student success will be invaluable assets to the ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross community.

Samantha Derksen has been named the new Director of Admissions, effective August 6. Derksen, who has been a valuable member of our admissions team since July 2022, brings a wealth of experience in admissions training and student recruitment. Her dedication to fostering a sense of community and her commitment to the college’s mission make her an ideal candidate for the role.

Lastly, Dr. Robert Pastoor has been named Associate Vice President for Student Engagement and Director of Athletics. Since Fall 2023, Bob has served as Special Assistant to the Office of the President for Planning and Development. Prior to joining ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross, Dr. Pastoor oversaw athletics, intramurals, wellness, and recreation during his long tenure in higher education, holding executive leadership positions at the University of St. Francis, Carroll College, Saint Joseph’s College, University of San Diego, and Mount St. Mary’s University. His leadership and vision will be pivotal in advancing athletics and enhancing the student experience at ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± Cross College.
